Vincent Danton is a partner in the Banking and Finance department.
Vincent has been practising for more than 17 years and has developed a leading expertise in banking, financial and insurance regulations. He advises banks, insurance companies, management companies and major French and international groups on the structuring and distribution of their products, as well as on the organisation of their regulated activities. He has developed a specific expertise in the fields of payment services and crypto-assets and frequently intervenes in the Fintech sector (market places, insurtech…).
Vincent also has extensive experience in structured finance (securitisations of all types of receivables, factoring and secured fundings). He is regularly involved in the sale of non-performing loan portfolios (NPLs) and in matters related to the Securitisation Regulation.
Before joining the firm in January 2023, he spent 16 years with leading Anglo-Saxon law firms: Clifford Chance (2006-2014) and Herbert Smith Freehills (2014-2022). He was also seconded for a year to Crédit Agricole CIB’s securitisation legal department in 2010.
Vincent holds an LLM from University College London (2005-2006), a Master 2 in Banking and Financial Law from the University of Paris II (2001-2002) and a Master 2 in General Private Law from the University of Paris II (2000-2001).
