Rym Loucif, partner at the Corporate and M&A practice of the Algiers office, shared her expertise on the IBA Oil and Gas Law Committee website concerning the Algerian upcoming reform of the hydrocarbons law.
The bill on the hydrocarbons law clarifies many areas of uncertainty and introduces flexibility in the conduct of Upstream Activities. The bill also reintroduces the production-sharing contract existing under the former Law (1986), in aim to adopt a pragmatic approach in terms of taxation.
