LPA-CGR avocats advised the Banque des Territoires in the acquisition of a 50% participation in a portfolio of solar assets located in New Caledonia with a total capacity of 53 MW from Total Quadran

LPA-CGR avocats advised the Banque des Territoires in the acquisition from Total Quadran, a renewable energy subsidiary of the Total Group, of a 50% participation in the “Alicante” portfolio with a total capacity of 53 MW. This portfolio consists of 8 solar photovoltaic power plants located in New Caledonia, of which 7 are already in operation and 1 is under construction.

Total Quadran will provide asset management, performance monitoring, operation and maintenance over the life of the solar plants.

With this project, the Banque des Territoires is part of the recovery plan implemented by Caisse des Dépôts Group, for which the energy and ecological transition is one of the priorities, for the benefit of more sustainable territories.

The continuation of the partnership between Total Quadran and the Banque des Territoires illustrates the latter’s desire to support the players in the energy transition over the long term in the deployment of new projects.

The Banque des Territoires’ participation, alongside Total Quadran, in the “Alicante” portfolio supports Total Quadran’s strong dynamic in the development of new renewable energy projects in mainland France and the French overseas territories.

The team of LPA-CGR that advised the Banque des Territoires on M&A matters was composed of Philippe Raybaud, partner, Wyssam Mansour, counsel, Delphine Roullier-Pâris and Aude Cassaigne, associates. Hélène Gelas, partner, and Charles Bressant, associate, advised on regulatory, energy law and public law matters.
