LPA-CGR avocats assists Eneco in the sale of activities in France

LPA-CGR avocats has advised the Eneco group in the purchase by Albioma, the leader in the solar power market in Overseas France, of 100% of Eneco France, a rooftop solar power specialist.

Eneco France, which was established in 2008 and has an innovative positioning in power generation for onsite consumption, develops, builds and operates photovoltaic power plants on rooftops and agricultural buildings, serving a clientele of private and industrial customers in southern France. Eneco France owns a photovoltaic fleet with an installed capacity of 17 MW, as well as a strong portfolio of projects under development. The company also operates a 0.5 MW hydropower plant.

This acquisition represents an opportunity for Albioma to enhance its positioning and step up its expansion in the solar power market in metropolitan France, supplementing the Group’s existing 8 MW installed capacity. Albioma intends to develop innovative solar power projects, with a target of generating 80% of its energy from renewable sources by 2023.

Alexandre Bensoussan (partner) and Léa Beuvelet were involved on employment matters, François Versini-Campinchi (counsel) worked on public law matters, and Philippe Jacques (partner) and Ahlam Guessoum were in charge of real estate matters.

Albioma was advised by Hogan Lovells, with Xavier Doumen (partner), Florian Brechon (counsel) and Bob Zeller. The sale process was conducted by BNP Paribas, as financial advisor on this transaction, with Nicolas Bach, Remco Haan and Alexander Zapantoulis.
