LPA-CGR avocats appoints 3 new partners

LPA-CGR avocats is pleased to announce the appointment of Sophie Marinier (Labour), Alexandre de Konn (White Collar Crime) and of Mathieu Selva-Roudon (Tax) as partners, with effect from 1st July 2019. With these new appointments, the Firm now consists of 42 partners.

 

Sophie Marinier, holding a specialization certificate in labour law, practices in all areas of employment and labour law (e.g., individual and collective relations, restructuring, litigations, audits) and primarily assists pharmaceutical, banking and retail companies.

With the support of LPA-CGR avocats’ 12 foreign offices and of its network of business partners referred to as “best friends”, Sophie has acquired in-depth knowledge of the handling and management of international cases including without limitation, mobility and harassment issues in cross-border situations. Sophie also provides support to managers in connection with compensation optimization issues.

Holding a Master 2 degree in labour law (Paris II, 2005), she started at EY Law Firm in 2006, joined Latham & Watkins three years later and eventually, joined LPA-CGR avocats in 2010.

The firm’s labour practice is now composed of about fifteen lawyers, including five partners.

Alexandre de Konn specializes in white-collar crime and press law. His practice encompasses every aspect of the criminal liability of managers and companies, and Alexandre works closely with the other practices of the firm (e.g., real estate, labour, environment, energy, etc.).

Alexandre has developed special expertise in real estate criminal law and as such, participated in a series of sensitive trials such as, the Apure’s improper claims case or the Xynthia storm case which pertains to the impact of the storm on the city of La Faute-sur-Mer, and publicized two reference books entitled “Criminal offences in building operation” (Les infractions pénales dans les opérations de construction) (Lamy, 2014) and “The criminal risk inherent in real estate transactions” (Le risque pénal dans les opérations immobilières) (Le Moniteur, 2009). In addition, he has extensive experience in managing serious accidents at work.

Alexandre also actively assists companies when it comes to the prevention of criminal risk (e.g., whether through audits, Sapin II compliance programs, training sessions, power delegations, etc.).

Alexandre has been an attorney since 2001 and joined the firm in 2002 where he was an associate and thereafter, became a counsel. He graduated at Paris II and holds a certificate in criminal specialisation (2009).

Mathieu Selva-Roudon assists companies, their founders and/or managers with every tax aspect of national and cross-border transactions (e.g., tax structuring of merger/acquisitions, taxation issues in connection with the sale or reorganisation of companies, venture and growth capital transactions), and with the taxation of fund flows (e.g., transfer pricing, taxation of intangible assets and innovation).

Mathieu has also developed deep expertise in complex and/or high-stakes tax proceedings (e.g., assisting companies and managers with tax audits, amicable dispute resolution, litigations before the tax judge).

Mathieu joined the firm in 2011 after having been an associate for 6 years at Mazars. Mathieu is a member of the IACF and is listed in the International Tax Review as one of the Tax Controversy Leaders in France.

The firm’s tax practice now includes some fifteen lawyers among whom five partners.
