OUR APPROACH
In line with the firm’s mission to „Creating together a new equilibrium“, we are committed to finding sustainable solutions that are both satisfying to all and respectful of everyone. It is precisely this quest that guides our CSR approach.
As a firm committed to CSR, we are aware of the twofold dimension of our role: on the one hand, in the support we provide to our clients and the advice we give them, and on the other hand, in the way we manage the firm, with the aim of improving our performance and our sustainability.
Our ambition is to give even more meaning to our actions by engaging in numerous activities that have a positive impact on society and the environment.
AN ACTION PLAN BASED ON 4 PILLARS
Thanks to a concrete action plan based on the firm’s values of „commitment, openness and collectiveness“, our CSR approach is based on four pillars:
RESPONSIBLE EMPLOYER
As a socially responsible and committed employer, the firm is involved with its teams by promoting skills development, improving safety and well-being at work, encouraging equality, and ensuring a balance between private and professional life. Parity has been respected for many years and is part of our DNA.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Our firm contributes to the reduction of environmental impacts, an essential aspect of sustainable development. Thus, we have carried out internal actions known as Smart Green, including the reduction of printing, plastic and the volume of waste produced. We have also carried out a carbon footprint assessment.
SOCIETAL IMPACT
The members of our company are involved in solidarity actions by putting their skills and time at the service of certain causes (in particular in favour of ecology and access to training for disadvantaged people), by granting financial support to selected initiatives, and by acting concretely alongside associations.
GOVERNANCE AND ETHICS
Our firm has established an organisation based on collective decision-making through its various management bodies. In order to integrate all lawyers and employees into the operation of the firm, various committees have been set up.
OUR CSR REPORT
LPA Law was the first law firm to publish a CSR report in 2014. Since then, we have continued and intensified our commitment to the social and environmental performance of our firm. Discover in our CSR report all our actions and concrete projects.
AWARDS AND CERTIFICATES
LPA-CGR avocats won the Gold Trophy for Best CSR Strategy at the Trophées du Droit ceremony organised by Leaders League.
The firm was awarded the Bronze Medal by Ecovadis in 2021. The organisation assessed the integration of CSR principles in the firm’s activities and their impact in the following areas: environment, social & human rights, ethics and responsible purchasing.
AKTUELLES
The Climate Fresk is a collaborative and creative workshop, which aims to determine – at the firm level – the actions that we can undertake to limit our environmental impact, to encourage innovation and internal initiatives, and to adapt our service offers to these new challenges. We did this workshop with all the members of the company in order to raise awareness among all of us.
Beyond a strategic and climatic imperative, the issue of urban mobility is of major importance, especially since the pandemic. As a true pioneer, our law firm offers an unprecedented cross-disciplinary service to assist its clients in these innovative areas.
In order to better understand our environmental impact, we are calculating our carbon footprint. This will enable us to analyse the direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions generated by all our activities and to identify areas for improvement.
As the bill to accelerate renewable energy is being discussed in the National Assembly, several advances for wind power are proposed by our specialists.
The European taxonomy imposes new constraints, which are already applicable, on various economic players including the real estate sector.
The real estate sector is constantly evolving in the face of new challenges. It manages to systematically adapt to economic phases and to the new ideas of its actors and users. But will it manage to become “ clean „, i.e. to decarbonise and generally to become more virtuous?
In case of a reorganisation that gives rise to the elaboration of an ESP, the employer must comply with obligations in terms of risk prevention in order to ensure the safety and protect the physical and mental health of workers as well as to prevent the psychosocial risks inherent in a reorganisation.
