Phd in Law and a lawyer specializing in energy law and public business law, Pauline Maurus has joined Marion Roquette-Pfister’s Public Law/Energy/Regulatory team as Counsel, confirming the firm’s desire to offer enhanced expertise in the energy sector.
Based on its experience and innovative vision, LPA-CGR avocats‘ Energy team, comprising around thirty lawyers, is now offering an optimised range of energy law services in France and internationally, in response to the changing needs of the market. This new focus enables the firm to deploy tailor-made solutions in areas such as renewable and decarbonized energies, energy transition and efficiency, as well as conventional energies, fully in line with its clients‘ sustainable development and energy efficiency objectives.
Pauline has comprehensive expertise in energy, energy efficiency and carbon law, enhanced by in-depth knowledge of market dynamics.
She is involved notably in the structuring, overall management and valuation of renewable energy (RE) and decarbonized energy development operations. Her areas of expertise include self-consumption, power purchase agreements (PPAs), support mechanisms, power grid connection s, flexibility and electricity trading. More broadly, she works with players in the conventional energy sector on all their issues.
Pauline adds to the firm’s leading expertise in the energy transition and energy efficiency, including energy renovation plans, energy performance contracts (CPE), energy saving certificates (CEE) and energy performance diagnostics (DPE). Her practice also extends to the carbon sector, where she assists clients in their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions on both the mandatory and voluntary markets (quotas and carbon credits).
She is also active in public business law, particularly public procurement (awarding, performance, liability, complex procedures).
Pauline is a lecturer in public law at the Ecole de Formation Professionnelle des Barreaux de la Cour d’Appel de Paris (EFB) and at the Institut Léonard de Vinci as part of the MBA in Energy Management Transition.
Biographical details
Pauline has been working in law firms since 2010; she worked for 8 years at LPA-CGR avocats, co-founded LexCity avocats and was also a senior associate at Huglo Lepage Avocats.
She holds a CAPA (EFB, 2016), a PhD in public law (Cifre thesis LPA / Université Montpellier 1, 2014) as well as a Master 2 in Public Contracts and Partnerships (Université Montpellier 1, 2010) and a Master 1 in General Public Law (Université Montpellier 1, 2009).
